  • Papercup dispensers next to drinking fountains provide access for people who use wheelchairs
  • Talking calculators
  • Lever door handles versus round doorknobs
  • Tape recorders can be used to take notes during meetings
  • Blocks to raise a desk for wheelchair accessibility
  • Computer accessories – screen magnifiers, print magnifiers, adjustable keyboard trays, trackballs, large keyboards, one handed keyboards are just some of the options available
  • Computer software solutions built into an operating system such as word predication, sticky keys, and adjustable mouse speeds
  • Rearrangement of workplace furniture or room layout
  • Rearrangement of work duties or job sharing

  • Automatic door openers
  • Customized desk chairs
  • Telephone assistive devices such as amplifiers for employees who have a hearing loss and hands-free headsets for those that need to write while on the phone
